What Is Investing?
Investing is the active redirection of resources: from being consumed today, to creating benefits in the future; the use of assets to earn income or profit. An investment is the choice by the individual, after thorough analysis, to place or lend money in a that has sufficiently low risk and provides the possibility of generating returns over a period of time. In a simple way : investing means putting your money to work for you.
In finance, investment is the commitment of funds by buying securities or other monetary or paper (financial) assets in the money markets or capital markets, or in fairly liquid real assets, such as gold, real estate, or collectibles.
Investing is not gambling. Gambling is putting money at risk by betting on an uncertain outcome with the hope that you might win money. True investing doesn’t happen without some action on your part. A “real” investor does not simply throw his or her money at any random investment; he or she performs thorough analysis and commits capital only when there is a reasonable expectation of profit. Yes, there still is risk, and there are no guarantees, but investing is more than simply hoping Lady Luck is on your side.
If your main goal of investing is to protect your wealth from inflation, it is recommended to buy bullion. As an investor you can choose to invest in both gold coins and gold bullion. Gold IRA as the anti-dollar, meaning that its price tends to go up as the U.S. dollar goes down. Since 2001, the U.S. dollar has been losing value and the price of gold has been going up. You can have the most secure and profitable investment in gold coin and bullion.
